Martiza Lopez, R.N., B.S.N.

     Maritza received her Bachelors in Science from San Francisco State University in 1999. Maritza has been with the Epilepsy Center since May 2004. Before this, she worked at UCSF Neurological/Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit and on the Neurosurgical/Neurological floor for 10 years. She has been with UCSF since 1985. She is a member of American Association of Neuroscience Nurses since 2003. Maritza speaks fluent Spanish.
   
 
Caroline Pearson

     
Caroline is the nurse practioner with Dr. Perry.  She follows all pediatric patients that have undergone surgery with Dr. Perry.
   
Amanda Sligar, R.N., M.S.N., P.N.P.

     A pediatric nurse practitioner in the Epilepsy Center. Amanda completed a masters of science in nursing in the advanced practice pediatric nursing program at the UCSF School of Nursing with a specialization in adolescent health. She received a bachelor of science in nursing from Columbia University after completing a bachelor of arts in Women’s Studies at UCLA. Amanda currently sees a variety of patients in the pediatric epilepsy clinic as well as in the general child neurology clinic. In addition, she coordinates the pediatric video telemetry admissions at the UCSF Children’s Hospital.
   
Mariann M. Ward, N.P.

     Mariann has been with the epilepsy team for over 15 years. She started as the epilepsy nurse specialist and currently works as nurse practioner with Dr. Barbaro. Mariann assists all patients that have undergone surgical intervention by Dr. Barbaro.
