Deborah Cahn-Weiner, Ph.D.
Clinical Neuropsychologist


     Dr. Deborah Cahn-Weiner is the clinical neuropsychologist for the Epilepsy Center. Her clinical and research interests include the prediction of everyday functioning following epilepsy surgery, detection of frontal lobe/executive function changes following surgery, and the impact of presurgical medical status on post-surgical neuropsychological test scores.

     She graduated with highest honors from UC Berkeley with a degree in Psychology, and earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. After finishing her internship at Brown University, Dr. Cahn-Weiner completed fellowships in Neuropsychology at Stanford University and Brown University. She served on the faculty of Psychiatry at Brown University for six years, and joined the Epilepsy Center and Neurology Department at UCSF in 2004.
